What we talk about

  • Jeremy's first trip to China, racing a FoilDrive Fusion in an e-foil event with a prize pool and a big Lift team, invited by Armstrong
  • A tour of the Armstrong factory, how many hand steps go into each board, and the new moulded mid length board that's lighter and stronger than the hollow one
  • A downwind wing trip through Greece: 9 to 10 hours a day on the water, Mykonos the windiest, and confusing bumps from all the islands
  • West coast Sri Lanka as a possible downwind adventure in its strong summer trade winds
  • Coaching and progression, learning to read crashes before they happen, and Freddie's rusty dismounts after a break
  • How his YouTube film Fever Dream did, what videos cost to make, and plans to chase waves at the bottom of New Zealand in a thick wetsuit
  • Why brands post so much SUP downwind content when the market's small, and strapless riding with top riders like Cash showing where it's heading
  • Parawing versus wing in waves and as a way into downwind, sub foiling plans for Hood River, hollow boards and rising board prices

About this episode

It had been too long, we couldn't help but catch up with the big fella. Christ it took a while to line up though - the mans busy!

We find out whats been keeping him so busy the last few months - especially hearing about his latest trips to China and Greece which sounded like a tonne of fun.

Efoil racing too - who thought this was such big business in China??

Last episode before we fly out to America once more for our third visit to Hood River for the AWSI show.... how time flies!
