  • Watching the America's Cup in Barcelona
  • How Aidan got into wing foiling, from Baja to learning at Hood River
  • Trying a very different style of foil, and why some foils want to be driven round turns
  • Wing freestyle setups, from board volume and mast length to the MA 625 and a bigger tail
  • Race safety at events like M2O, support boats against trackers, and the cost
  • How Armstrong has grown, why they say they are always testing, and whether mid length boards were oversold
  • Towing in big surf, then Room 101 with awkward spot entries and seaweed

About this episode

FINALLY we release this one!

We got to spend some time chilling in the carpark of Hood River with Aidan back in September (did we tell you we went to Hood River?) and he was nice enough to be one of the folks who lent us a downwindering board while we were there too.

No doubt you've all seen videos of him shredding on the interweb, and he was one of the standout riders on the water through AWSi for Liam and I.

Fast forward a couple of months and we managed to steal some time from his busy schedule to book in a recording to find out even more about him! We also discuss his role in Armstrong and how thats grown as well as the brands direction itself and what he's got coming up in the coming year.

Sit back and enjoy - and if you do like what we're up to, we're still saving up our beer tokens to get ourselves back to Hood River once again in September to smash out some actual downwinding again - and hopefully chat to some more influential people in our industry!
